Description:
Wild Turkey 1855 Reserve was first launched in 1992, a blend of 6, 8 and 12 year old whiskies. This Barrel Proof Bourbon is actually a Wild Turkey Rare Breed, released under another name for the export market. Just 4 batches where ever bottled of which this is the 1st batch. Wild Turkey is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon whiskey made by the Austin Nichols Distilling Company. The name Wild Turkey was made up after a 1940’s wild turkey hunting trip by distillery executive Thomas McCarthy during which he shared some warehouse samples with his fellow-hunters. The year thereafter his friends asked for “some of that wild turkey whiskey”, and a brand was born.
