Description:
This unique Irish whiskey is presented in a bottle inspired by the founding fishermen of the West Cork Distillery, Ger and Denis McCarthy. Indeed, Ger and Denis were both sailors on trawlers off the coast of West Cork for many years before embarking on a journey in 2003 that has seen West Cork Distillers become Ireland's largest independent distillery, employing 150 people in Skibbereen. Following a conversation with John O'Connell - the last founder - they remembered the old glass fishing floats. The three founders then set about designing a masterfully crafted, custom-blown spherical bottle with an off-centre spout to make pouring the whisky easier and, most importantly, to pay homage to their origins.
