Description: This Irish Single Malt has been on a very interesting journey. It is a fruity and complex whiskey which was initially matured in Bourbon Casks, and then finished in Pinot Noir Casks. Finally, the liquid was transferred into seven fifty-five litre quarter casks, which initially held Peated Bourbon. Nick Ryan of Thomond Gate sourced these unique casks from the Kings County Distillery in Brooklyn, New York. This release was named after John Wolfe Ambrose, who hailed from Co. Limerick and helped to design the only deep-water shipping lane in and out of the port of New York City.
