Description: The second release from Thomond Gate Whiskey in its ‘Departed Spirits of Limerick’ series, pays homage to a rebellious hero known as Galloping Hogan, from Doon, Co Limerick. In 1690, this infamous rapparee, along with Patrick Sarsfield and 500 Jacobite troops, successfully led a daring ride to Ballyneety to blow up a Williamite siege train. In memory of Galloping Hogan and the French involvement in the siege of Limerick, Thomond Gate released this Single Malt Irish Whiskey, which was finished in a French Cognac cask. This limited release is only 300 bottles. Galloping Hogan has been bottled at cask strength (59.59% ABV) with non-chill filtration and a natural colour. Each bottle has been hand filled, labelled and embellished with a unique coin engraved with the individual bottle number.
PLEASE NOTE
We have taken great care to provide very clear photos of each lot. Please study these carefully before you place a bid to ensure that you are satisfied with the lot's condition.
All our lots are pre-owned so there may be some element of normal wear & tear present. If we ourselves have noted something unusual (beyond normal wear & tear) we will have mentioned it in the 'Condition' section.
We cannot be responsible for natural blemishes in the grain of wooden presentation boxes - wood is a natural product and it comes the way it comes.
