Description: Exclusively aged in Oloroso sherry casks, this has been favourably compared to the now very, very pricey (an unobtainable) Macallan Gran Reserva. Once one of the best rich and heavily sherried whiskies available, the Glendronach 15 year old was discontinued in 2015 due to a shortage of maturing stock after the distillery's five year mothballing between 1996 and 2001.  Sherry matured whiskies of this quality are extremely difficult to source these days, thanks to a flourishing worldwide market and a scarcity of suitable barrels. Now chill-filtered in 2021, it's packed full of flavour with all the dried fruit, roasted nut and toasted wood flavours you would expect from Glendronach. This amazing whiskey was bottled in 2014.
PLEASE NOTE
We have taken great care to provide very clear photos of each lot. Please study these carefully before you place a bid to ensure that you are satisfied with the lot's condition.
All our lots are pre-owned so there may be some element of normal wear & tear present. If we ourselves have noted something unusual (beyond normal wear & tear) we will have mentioned it in the 'Condition' section.
We cannot be responsible for natural blemishes in the grain of wooden presentation boxes - wood is a natural product and it comes the way it comes.
