Description: Founded in Edinburgh in 1983 by Phillip 'Pip' Hills comes The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. His passion for whisky started when he was travelling around the country in the 70s. After which, it took his little time to purchase his first cask with a group of friends. Many years later the syndicate was purchased by Glenmorangie PLC. From the Speyside region of Scotland, this single malt was distilled at Glenrothes and matured for 12 years after being distilled on 6th June 2007 in a 1st fill Spanish Oak Sherry Butt. One of only 608 bottles. Quietly and without compromise, The Glenrothes distillery has been producing some of Speyside's finest single malt for more than a century. What began in 1879 continues in much the same way to this day: the making of a no-nonsense, finely crafted single malt. A whisky made with integrity, authenticity and, above all, with expert craft.
PLEASE NOTE
We have taken great care to provide very clear photos of each lot. Please study these carefully before you place a bid to ensure that you are satisfied with the lot's condition.
All our lots are pre-owned so there may be some element of normal wear & tear present. If we ourselves have noted something unusual (beyond normal wear & tear) we will have mentioned it in the 'Condition' section.
We cannot be responsible for natural blemishes in the grain of wooden presentation boxes - wood is a natural product and it comes the way it comes.
