Description: Triple distilled and aged 14 years in a combination of used bourbon and sherry casks, the whiskeys that went into this special Redbreast blend are truly exceptional. Midleton put out four batches - A, B, C and D - of this limited edition series. Each batch was blended together from 20+ barrels, drawing on two different types of Midleton’s single pot still spirit. The whiskeys in Batch B began aging in bourbon barrels before being transferred into Oloroso sherry barrels. Bottle strength varies across the 11 bottles from 57.2% vol up to 59.1% vol. Each one of these bottles is from a small batch of only 252 bottles so they are each part of a very limited edition in their own right, to have them all together for sale as one set is extraordinary, To our knowledge this is the first time that a full set has been auctioned anywhere in the world, so interest in this outstanding lot is bound to be very high.
PLEASE NOTE
We have taken great care to provide very clear photos of each lot. Please study these carefully before you place a bid to ensure that you are satisfied with the lot's condition.
All our lots are pre-owned so there may be some element of normal wear & tear present. If we ourselves have noted something unusual (beyond normal wear & tear) we will have mentioned it in the 'Condition' section.
We cannot be responsible for natural blemishes in the grain of wooden presentation boxes - wood is a natural product and it comes the way it comes.
