Description: This is a blended malt named in honor of Masataka Taketsuru, the father of Japanese whisky. He is the first Japanese who mastered whisky-making in Scotland and produced the genuine whisky in Japan. Masataka's vision of whisky was formed by his experience in Scotland, and he learned that the rich nature resources surrounding a distillery were essential for whisky-making. Based on his thought, he selected two places, Yoichi and Miyagikyo, and built two distilleries there. This whisky, stored and matured for 12 years or more in oak casks, is characterized by a rich nose and a mellow, well-balanced malt palate and a clean finish.
