Description:
In 2015 at the prestigious World Whiskey Awards, Kavalan Vinho Barrique won the trophy of the best malt whiskey in the world, and since that day this whiskey has become extremely hard to find. The cask for 'Tribute to the Angels' was unique in that the distillery used the remains of casks where red and white wine were matured, then before pouring the whiskey spirit, the interior of the American Oak barrel was heavily charred, thus opening the pores of the wood for an easier and deeper absorbtion of the whiskey. Non-coloured, no cold filtration and bottled at Cask Strength - this is an amazing whiskey. Only 197 bottles of this rare Kavalan Vinho Barrique Single Malt were produced, so it is a super hard bottle to acquire.
