Description: This super rare and unusual early 20th century Jameson bottling dates from around 1901-1902 when the company was first incorporated as John Jameson & Son Ltd (as stated on the capsule). The whiskey itself has been aged for 9 years and features a driven-cork and a Betts & Co of London capsule. This will feature in our September auction which starts on Friday. There is sure to be great interest in this lot, and not just from Jameson collectors as this is a piece of Irish distilling history, and could perhaps be described as a 'Unicorn' bottle. At around 120 years old it is in very good condition!
PLEASE NOTE
We have taken great care to provide very clear photos of each lot. Please study these carefully before you place a bid to ensure that you are satisfied with the lot's condition.
All our lots are pre-owned so there may be some element of normal wear & tear present. If we ourselves have noted something unusual (beyond normal wear & tear) we will have mentioned it in the 'Condition' section.
We cannot be responsible for natural blemishes in the grain of wooden presentation boxes - wood is a natural product and it comes the way it comes.
