Description: Some time ago at a beer festival, Mareike Spitzer got into conversation with Michael Graves from Crossroads Ales & Lagers from Peiting. He had a stout beer on offer that had previously been stored in a German whiskey cask. A great combination. She immediately thought of Clonakilty's beer collaborations with breweries, especially in America. Ideas were exchanged over a stout beer and it quickly became clear: We are sending two stout barrels to Ireland. As soon as the casks arrived at Clonakilty, single malt whiskey was filled into the casks, which had previously matured in bourbon casks. The whiskey then received its finish in the Crossroads Imperial Stout Cask for a full 18 months. The result is a great single malt that harmoniously combines the notes of the bourbon and beer barrel. In order not to lose any aromas, the bottling was bottled at cask strength. The bottling is limited to 714 bottles.
