Description: A superb 18 year old from Auchentoshan distillery. This has been entirely aged in ex-bourbon barrels which have imparted some juicy fruit, roasted nut and mouth-filling barley flavours. Auchentoshan is one of the few remaining Lowland distilleries and the last in the South of Scotland to practice triple distillation. The name Auchentoshan means 'corner of the field' in Gaelic, yet the distillery now sits amongst other industries in the expanding area of Clydebank. Despite being triple distilled it tends to have a lot of body even in younger age expressions, the 'Three Wood' bottling is particularly good if you like big, sherried whiskies. Auchentoshan has three large stills (one wash, one intermediate and one spirit). It is currently owned by Suntory.
PLEASE NOTE
We have taken great care to provide very clear photos of each lot. Please study these carefully before you place a bid to ensure that you are satisfied with the lot's condition.
All our lots are pre-owned so there may be some element of normal wear & tear present. If we ourselves have noted something unusual (beyond normal wear & tear) we will have mentioned it in the 'Condition' section.
We cannot be responsible for natural blemishes in the grain of wooden presentation boxes - wood is a natural product and it comes the way it comes.
