Read MoreWelcome to our January auction! Once again we are pleased to say that we have a great range of bottles for you to choose from. We have another impressive line-up from the legendary The Macallan, and a good spread of Midleton - Very Rare, Single Casks, Method & Madness and the Barrel Club. As per usual, we have a wide selection of bottles from most of the other Irish distilleries including Bushmills, Teeling, Dingle, Killowen, The Irishman, Writers Tears, Thomond Gate, Waterford & JJ Corry plus a few more.
Probably a couple of the auction highlights are the The Macallan 1974 18 year old, and the John Jameson JJ&S bottling that was distilled in 1931 and bottled in 1969! We are particularly pleased to have so many older bottles in this auction - we have a good few from pre-1970 which means they are over 50 years old! This was back in the day when Powers and Jameson were being bottled by local wholesale bonders so there is an interesting bit of Irish distilling history to these bottles.
Aside from The Macallan lots mentioned above we also have some other top-class Scotch bottles which you may find interesting including Brora, Bowmore, The Balvenie, Glenmorangie and Johnnie Walker. We also have a few US and Japanese bottlings which should be of great interest.
We believe (hope!) that we have something for everyone - a good few high-end bottles, but also a very decent range of everyday drinkers. So if it's an investment you are looking for, or just some more interesting whiskeys to add to your 'drinking collection' then we hope you'll find something you like. Thanks a mill again for all the support.
